The Patient Advocates was launched after a 7-year long journey one of our founders had with her very own parents. For the duration, either one or both of her parents were terminally ill and unable to care for themselves, much less each other. It was then she realized how emotionally and financially draining it is upon one person to manage their own life, and simultaneously that of the sick and/or elderly - all the while keeping the patient’s dignity intact as much as possible. Knowing full well there soon be others challenged with the same, she realized it would not be long before others she knew would be walking in similar shoes.

Fast forward to 2009... our founder’s own best friend was asked by her aunt to act as her advocate as she battled terminal cancer. It was then the two friends realized how important it was for EVERY patient to have resources available made to them for this purpose.

Everyone deserves dignity ...
